Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will assist in food preparation, ensure food safety standards are met, and support the kitchen staff in delivering high-quality meals. This role is essential in maintaining efficient kitchen operations and providing exceptional service to our guests. Prior restaurant or kitchen experience is preferred, but a strong passion for food and learning is equally valued.

Duties

- Prepare ingredients and assist with meal preparation according to recipes and standards
- Handle food safely and maintain cleanliness in all food handling areas
- Assist in cooking tasks, including chopping, slicing, marinating, and assembling dishes
- Support the kitchen team in maintaining a well-organized workspace
- Ensure all food items are prepared in accordance with health and safety regulations
- Help with stocking supplies and rotating stock to minimize waste
- Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment by following proper cleaning procedures




- Serve food promptly and accurately during meal service times

Requirements

- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or kitchen environment preferred
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods
- Familiarity with food safety standards and proper handling procedures
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- Willingness to learn recent skills and adapt to kitchen needs
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 pounds
