Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Dump Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating front load garbage trucks to transport materials to and off of site. This role requires a strong focus on safety, adherence to traffic laws, and efficient delivery of materials to ensure smooth project operations.
Duties
- Operate heavy-duty garbage trucks in accordance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Load and unload materials efficiently while maintaining safety standards.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure proper functioning and report any issues promptly.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, fuel usage, and maintenance logs.
- Follow designated routes and schedules to meet project deadlines.
- Assist with heavy lifting tasks when necessary, ensuring proper techniques are used to prevent injury.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding delivery status or any operational concerns.
Skills
- Proven experience in driving heavy trucks,
particularly dump trucks.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively.
- Strong driving skills with a clean driving record.
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to operating large vehicles and handling materials.
- Valuable communication skills for coordinating with team members and supervisors.
- Ability to work independently and responsibly in various weather conditions. Must have valid Class 1a or Class 3a Driver's licence and a clean driver's abstract.
Pay: $25.00-$33.20 per hour
