Position: Shift Leader

Job Overview:

We are seeking an energetic, reliable Shift Leader to oversee daily operations, guide our team, and maintain exceptional standards of service and product quality. Reporting directly to the Team Leaders, the Shift Leader will ensure shifts run smoothly, safely, and efficiently. This position primarily requires availability for evenings and weekends.

Key Responsibilities

- Shift Leadership & Operations
- Lead daily shifts and ensure completion of opening, mid-day, and closing checklists.
- Delegate tasks, manage staff breaks, and adjust shift staffing levels as needed to balance service speed and labor needs.
- Train, mentor, and oversee team members to ensure proper portioning, store cleanliness, and policy compliance.
- Report regularly to the Team Leaders regarding shift performance, inventory needs, and operational updates.
- Customer Service & Incident Handling
- Deliver high-quality customer service and handle customer inquiries or complaints in a qualified, courteous manner.
- Monitor store activity to address customer or team issues promptly, documenting any notable incidents for management.
- Food Safety, Quality & Inventory




- Maintain a valid Food Handler Safety Certificate and enforce strict food safety standards, temperature monitoring, and allergen/cross-contamination protocols.
- Prepare and stock specialty products, maintaining fully stocked, visually appealing retail display cases.
- Track inventory levels and inform Team Leaders of any stock running low.
- POS, Systems & Cash Handling
- Operate food service machinery and kitchen equipment safely and properly.
- Manage third-party delivery platforms and accurately input orders into the POS system.
- Perform register cash drops, safe transactions, and menu updates as needed.
- Facility Security & Closing
- Maintain overall store cleanliness and sanitation throughout the shift.
- Execute complete store closing procedures, including securing all doors, turning off equipment, and setting the security alarm.

Qualifications

- Availability to work evenings and weekends.
- Previous leadership, supervisory, or shift management experience in food service or retail.
- Valid Food Handler Safety Certificate (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
- Strong communication, task delegation, and problem-solving skills.

Pay: $17.95-$18.50 per hour

Expected hours: 32.0 – 44.0 per week
