Overview
We are looking for an Applied AI Engineer to design, build, deploy, and maintain AI systems for our clients.

You will develop AI agents, workflow automations, knowledge assistants, document-processing systems, and integrations with existing business platforms. This is a hands-on engineering role focused on turning business requirements into secure, reliable, and production-ready AI solutions.

The ideal candidate combines up-to-date AI knowledge with solid software-engineering skills and can move projects from initial prototype through deployment and ongoing improvement.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

- Build and deploy AI agents, copilots, automations, and internal business tools.
- Integrate AI systems with APIs, databases, CRMs, communication tools, and client platforms.
- Develop RAG systems using embeddings, vector databases, and company knowledge.
- Implement model prompting, structured outputs, tool calling, memory, permissions, and human-approval workflows.
- Build document ingestion, classification, extraction, and search pipelines.
- Test and monitor systems for accuracy, reliability, security, latency, and cost.
- Protect client systems against data leakage, prompt injection, unauthorized actions, and unreliable outputs.
- Collaborate with clients and internal teams to translate business needs into practical technical solutions.
- Document system architecture, integrations, limitations, and operating procedures.




- Strong software-engineering experience with Python.
- Experience with TypeScript or JavaScript is preferred.
- Hands-on experience building applications using large language models.
- Experience with AI agents, RAG, embeddings, vector search, structured outputs, and tool calling.
- Strong understanding of APIs, webhooks, authentication, databases, and third-party integrations.

Nice to have

- Experience deploying and maintaining cloud-based applications.
- Familiarity with Git, Docker, automated testing, CI/CD, logging, and monitoring.
- Understanding of AI security, privacy, permissions, and responsible deployment.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and client-facing skills.
- Ability to independently take projects from discovery through production deployment.
- Experience with LangGraph, LlamaIndex, Semantic Kernel, or similar frameworks.
- Experience with n8n, Make, Zapier, or other automation platforms.
- Familiarity with AWS, Google Cloud, or Microsoft Azure.
- Experience with voice agents, OCR, document intelligence, or MCP.
- Previous experience in consulting, client services, or a fast-moving startup environment.

Pay: $55,000.00-$85,000.00 per year

- Bachelor's Degree (preferred)
