Dear Mama – Restaurant Team Member

We are looking for a responsible, energetic and reliable team member who can confidently handle multiple aspects of daily restaurant operations, including customer service, order taking, food preparation, cash handling and online orders.

Key Responsibilities:

- Greet customers warmly and provide friendly, efficient customer service.
- Take dine-in, takeout and phone orders accurately.
- Operate the POS system and process cash, debit and credit transactions.
- Maintain accurate cash handling and follow opening/closing cash procedures.
- Prepare and assemble food orders according to Dear Mama's recipes, SOPs and quality standards.
- Ensure every order is accurate, complete and presented properly.
- Pack and organize Uber Eats, Skip and other online delivery orders for pickup.
- Monitor incoming online orders and ensure they are prepared within the required time.
- Communicate with delivery drivers and ensure orders are handed over correctly.
- Answer customer questions about the menu, ingredients and available options.
- Handle customer concerns professionally and escalate issues when required.
- Keep the front counter, dining/takeout area and workstations clean and organized.
- Assist with food prep, restocking ingredients,



packaging and general restaurant duties.
- Follow all food safety, hygiene and workplace safety procedures.
- Assist with opening and closing the restaurant, including cleaning, stocking, cash procedures and securing the premises.
- Work efficiently during busy periods while maintaining accuracy and a positive attitude.
- Support other team members wherever needed to keep daily operations running smoothly.

Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who is:

- Highly reliable and responsible
- Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of their shift
- Friendly, confident and comfortable interacting with customers
- Quick to learn POS and online ordering systems
- Able to multitask in a busy QSR environment
- Comfortable working both front counter and kitchen
- Detail-oriented, especially with orders and cash handling
- Punctual and dependable
- Versatile and available for opening and closing shifts
- Available Monday–Saturday
- Previous restaurant/QSR experience is an asset, but a strong work ethic and willingness to learn are equally important.

Pay: From $18.50 per hour
