Director of Supply Chain & Logistics

About the Role
Fortune Creek is seeking an experienced Director of Supply Chain & Logistics to lead the full supply chain operation that moves our products from vendor to shelf across Canada and the United States. This is a senior leadership position responsible for freight and distribution, third-party logistics (3PL) management, inventory control, equipment and facilities, and cross-border compliance. Reporting to the Director of Operations, this role oversees logistics teams on both sides of the border, including our active U.S. fulfillment operation, and is accountable for keeping product moving reliably, cost-effectively, and on schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct all freight and distribution activity, including cross-border LTL and FTL shipments, cold and dry freight, ocean freight, and customs brokerage
- Oversee the movement of product from warehouse to store, warehouse to customer, and from production into storage, including inbound international freight
- Manage both logistics arms of the business: domestic operations out of Kelowna and U.S.-based 3PL and fulfillment operations
- Select, manage, and hold accountable all 3PL and fulfillment vendors to ensure service-level and delivery standards are consistently met
- Own the organization's equipment fleet and facilities,
including scheduling maintenance, repairs, and vendor contracts
- Maintain rigorous inventory control, including cycle counts, minimum stock levels, reorder processes, and SKU-level accuracy
- Lead loss-prevention initiatives to minimize shrinkage, spoilage, and damage across the network
- Develop and enforce standardized packaging and shipping practices
- Build and manage strong relationships with suppliers and carriers, negotiating favorable terms and service levels
Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience directing freight, distribution, and 3PL operations, ideally in a cross-border context
- Strong working knowledge of customs and import/export compliance requirements under both CBSA and CBP, including HS classification
- Proven track record managing live 3PL and fulfillment operations to defined service standards
- Demonstrated expertise in inventory control and loss prevention
- Experience with cold-chain and refrigerated freight logistics
- Strong analytical and KPI management skills, with comfort overseeing budgets and performance metrics
- Willingness to travel across the operational network as needed
Compensation
Competitive base salary, commensurate with experience, plus a performance-based bonus and a comprehensive advantages package.
Pay: $95,600.00-$107,000.15 per year
