At Phipps, we make just about everything from scratch — cakes, cookies, tarts, pies, cupcakes, candy, quiche and even our bread!

This is primarily a baking position, with cake and pastry finishing being an important part of the job. You’ll be involved in all aspects of our daily production, including baking cakes, muffins, scones, cookies, mousses, meringues and other goodies, as well as finishing cakes, tarts and cupcakes.

We're located close to Eglinton & Avenue Road; one short bus ride from Yonge and Eglinton. The pay is $20.00 per hour to start. The position is available immediately.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for someone that has at least 1-2 years baking and finishing experience. We will train you, but having some kitchen experience would make the training easier for both of us. We are looking for someone that is hard-working, reliable, and works well with others as well as independently. We will also require that you be available to work Saturdays.

Physical and Daily Requirements

The day will fly by. It's a busy cafe and there is always lots to do.
There will be continuous standing/walking for all tasks. There will be some carrying of trays filled with baked goods; batters up to about 40 lbs and product to a maximum of 25 kg (for boxes of nuts).
