Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Production Assistant to support our manufacturing operations within the food processing industry. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in ensuring efficient inventories are kept, maintaining food safety standards, and supporting sanitation and leading packaging activities. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment, emphasizing safety, quality, and teamwork.

Duties

- Assist with packaging products accurately and efficiently according to specifications
- Manage inventory control, including counting supplies and recording stock levels in freezers, walk ins and warehouse.
- Support food processing operations by preparing ingredients and monitoring production lines
- Maintain sanitation standards by cleaning work areas, equipment, and tools regularly
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations by following proper handling and sanitation procedures
- Perform basic math calculations for measurements, weight checks, and inventory management
- Follow safety protocols at all times to prevent accidents or contamination during production





Qualifications

- Prior experience or familiarity with packaging or food industry practices is preferred
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and food processing standards is a plus
- Strong understanding of sanitation procedures and food safety regulations
- Basic math skills for measurements, conversions, and inventory calculations
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Positive communication skills and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform manual tasks as required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.50-$19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 – 35 per week
