Part-Time Kitchen Help

Chillabongs Bar and Grill is currently seeking an experienced and dependable individual to join our kitchen team on a permanent part-time basis. There is potential for full-time employment in the future for the right candidate.

We operate a fast-paced pub and sports bar kitchen and are looking for someone who is comfortable working under pressure, communicates well with coworkers, and takes pride in maintaining consistent food quality and a clean, organized workspace.

Responsibilities

- Prepare and cook menu items according to restaurant standards
- Cook steaks and other proteins to requested temperatures and doneness
- Maintain and restock kitchen stations throughout the shift
- Complete assigned daily and weekly cleaning duties
- Assist coworkers with immediate needs during busy service periods
- Maintain a clean, organized, and secure work area
- Learn and work a variety of shifts, including opening, midshift, and closing shifts

Qualifications

- must be 18 years or older
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar restaurant, pub, or commercial kitchen environment
- Experience cooking steaks and other proteins to requested doneness
- Ability to multitask and remain organized during high-volume service




- Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a team
- Comfortable working in a rapid-paced and high-pressure environment
- Willingness to learn different stations and responsibilities
- References must be available
- Open availability is preferred, with particular need for weekend evening availability

Physical Requirements

- Ability to stand and work on your feet for extended periods
- Ability to safely lift and carry 20 pounds or more
- Ability to perform the physical duties associated with working in a commercial kitchen

Compensation and Benefits

- Starting wage: $15.00 per hour
- Tips paid biweekly
- Complimentary meal during each shift
- Full coverage benefits available after successful completion of the probationary period
- Permanent part-time position with the possibility of full-time employment in the future

We are looking for someone who can become a dependable member of our kitchen team and contribute to maintaining a consistent, efficient, and skilled working environment.

Pay: $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 – 30.0 per week
