Azars’ Music School is looking for a qualified, friendly, patient, and dedicated Guitar Teacher to join our team in North Vancouver.

We are seeking an experienced teacher who is comfortable teaching private and/or group lessons to students at beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels.

Requirements:

- Diploma or Certificate in Music or a related field (Bachelor's degree is preferred)
- Strong proficiency in drums and guitar
- Familiarity with RCM, Rockschool and/or Trinity College London is an asset
- Previous experience teaching children
- Ability to create engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans
- Patient, friendly, encouraging, and professional teaching style
- Strong communication skills with students, parents, and administration
- Reliable, punctual, organized, and responsible
- Preferably available on Mondays from 3:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
- Preferably living in North Vancouver or a nearby area

Responsibilities:

- Teach private and/or group guitar lessons
- Teach students from beginner to advanced levels




- Develop lessons based on each student’s age, ability, interests, and goals
- Teach technique, rhythm, music reading, theory, improvisation, and performance skills
- Prepare students for recitals, festivals, auditions, and performances when needed
- Provide clear weekly assignments and practice expectations
- Track students’ progress and communicate professionally with parents and the school
- Create a positive, structured, and encouraging learning environment
- Help students develop confidence, musicianship, and a love of music
