Gary Your Gardener is a growing garden maintenance company serving homeowners throughout Greater Victoria. We take pride in providing excellent, reliable garden care while building strong relationships with our clients.

We are looking for a reliable, experienced, and enthusiastic gardener to join our team. This is a great opportunity for someone who genuinely enjoys working with plants, being outdoors, and taking pride in making gardens look their best.

The Position

We are looking for someone who's comfortable working independently and as part of a small team. Our work is primarily garden maintenance, rather than landscape construction.

Your days will include caring for established residential gardens and helping our clients keep their outdoor spaces healthy, beautiful, and well-maintained.

What You’ll Be Doing

- Regular garden maintenance for residential clients
- Weeding and garden bed maintenance
- Pruning shrubs, perennials and small trees
- Plant care and identification
- Planting and transplanting
- Deadheading and seasonal garden clean-ups
- Mulching and soil improvement
- Lawn and general garden maintenance
- Leaf and debris removal
- Using and maintaining garden tools and equipment
- Identifying plant health issues, pests and disease
- Communicating professionally and respectfully with clients
- Keeping gardens and work areas clean and tidy
- Working efficiently while maintaining a high standard of workmanship

We’re Looking For Someone Who

- Has experience in gardening, horticulture or garden maintenance
- Has good knowledge of plants and enjoys continuing to learn
- Takes pride in their work and notices the little details
- Is reliable, punctual, and dependable
- Is physically comfortable working outdoors throughout the year




- Can work independently and manage their time well
- Has a positive attitude and works well with others
- Is friendly and comfortable interacting with homeowners
- Has good communication skills
- Can safely lift, carry and use gardening equipment
- Has a valid driver’s licence and is comfortable driving a company vehicle

Horticultural training or certification is an asset, but we’re also interested in people with strong hands-on gardening experience.

What We Offer

- $22–$30/hour, depending on experience and horticultural knowledge
- 4% vacation pay
