Job Summary

Wildscape Landscaping is looking for a motivated, reliable and hardworking Landscape Labourer to join our team.

This is a hands-on position working on a variety of landscape construction and installation projects throughout the South Okanagan. You’ll work alongside our crew building and transforming outdoor spaces, with projects ranging from pavers and retaining walls to planting, irrigation and complete landscape installations.

We’re looking for someone who enjoys physical work, works well with a team and takes pride in doing quality work.

Previous landscaping or construction experience is an asset, but we’re willing to train the right person.

Responsibilities

- Carry, place and install pavers and other hardscape materials
- Assist with the construction of retaining walls
- Install soil, mulch, decorative rock and other landscape materials
- Prepare and grade areas for landscape installations
- Plant trees, shrubs, perennials and other plants
- Prepare garden beds and planting areas
- Install sod and assist with lawn installations
- Assist with irrigation installation and repairs
- Dig, rake, grade and perform general site preparation
- Load, unload and move landscape materials
- Safely operate hand tools, power tools and landscaping equipment
- Assist equipment operators and other crew members as needed
- Keep job sites clean, organized and safe




- Follow company and job-site safety procedures

Qualifications & Skills

- Landscaping, construction or other outdoor labour experience is an asset
- Experience with pavers, retaining walls or hardscape construction is an asset
- Comfortable performing physically demanding work throughout the day
- Able to repeatedly lift and carry heavy landscape materials
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Able to follow instructions and work efficiently as part of a crew
- Reliable, punctual and ready to work
- Solid work ethic and attention to detail
- Willingness to learn new landscaping and construction skills
- Experience operating landscaping equipment or machinery is an asset
- Valid driver’s licence and reliable transportation are assets
