We're looking for a dependable, safety-focused Class 1 Driver to join our Edmonton team. This is an ideal role for someone who takes pride in protected driving, professional customer service, careful equipment handling, and completing deliveries and pickups on time.

What You'll Do

As a Class 1 Driver, you'll play a key role in the safe, professional, and timely delivery and recovery of equipment, tools, and propane between customer worksites and branch locations. You'll work closely with Dispatch, Service, Yard, Sales, and branch teams to support equipment availability and customer commitments.

- Deliver and pick up equipment, tools, and propane at customer locations, jobsites, and branch locations in a safe, timely, and professional manner.
- Operate company vehicles in compliance with applicable transportation requirements, company policies, site rules, and safe work procedures.
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections and maintain accurate driver logs, inspection records, delivery records, and required documentation.
- Load, secure, transport, and unload equipment, tools, and materials safely to reduce risk and prevent damage.
- Navigate urban, suburban, rural, construction, yard, and confined work environments safely and professionally.
- Confirm delivery and pickup details, equipment condition, site requirements, documentation, and customer-specific instructions.
- Communicate delays, access concerns, site hazards, equipment issues, customer concerns,

and safety risks promptly to Dispatch or management.
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness, report repair or maintenance concerns, and assist with equipment movement, yard organization, and loading or unloading as required.

What Makes You Successful

- You put safety first when driving, loading, securing, unloading, and working at customer sites.
- You provide professional, respectful, and reliable service during every delivery and pickup.
- You take ownership of schedules, documentation, vehicle care, equipment handling, and communication.
- You have strong customer service, communication, time-management, attention-to-detail, and recordkeeping skills.
- You work effectively with Dispatch, Service, Yard, Sales, customers, and branch leadership.
- You can work independently, adapt to changing priorities, and use sound judgment in changing road, weather, and site conditions.

Qualifications

Required

- Valid Alberta Class 1 driver’s licence with a clean driving record.
- Completion of Mandatory Entry-Level Training (MELT), where required.
- Experience operating commercial vehicles and transporting equipment, tools, or similar materials.
- Experience loading, securing, transporting, and unloading equipment or materials safely.
- Knowledge of safe vehicle operation, load securement, site access, vehicle inspections, driver logs, and transportation documentation.
- Ability to work safely at construction sites, customer worksites, yards, and in changing road and weather conditions.

- Strong communication, customer service, time-management, and documentation skills.
- Ability to work legally in Canada.

Preferred

- Experience in equipment rental, construction, industrial operations, transportation, trucking, or delivery environments.
- Experience transporting aerial lifts, forklifts, material-handling equipment, tools, propane, or similar rental assets.
