Refrigeration and HVAC Service Technician - Commercial Service

Pay: $45.00 - $65.00 per hour, we pay based on experience. Journeyperson rate shown; apprentice rates scale with level.

Position Overview:

- Service, maintain, and repair commercial HVAC and refrigeration equipment: rooftop units, make-up air units, chillers, boilers, walk-in coolers and freezers, ice machines, etc.
- Diagnose equipment issues, replace faulty components, and complete repairs efficiently.
- Install new systems and carry out retrofits in compliance with applicable codes and industry standards.
- Perform preventative maintenance under year-round service contracts with established commercial accounts.
- Deliver professional, high-quality customer service and complete accurate service documentation.
- Keep current with advancements in HVAC and refrigeration technologies and best practices.

Job Qualifications:

- Journeyperson RefrigerationAir Conditioning certificate preferred (Red Seal welcome) - registered apprentices are encouraged to apply.
- Refrigerant handling (ODP) certification.
- Hands-on experience servicing commercial and industrial HVAC or refrigeration systems.
- Strong knowledge of local regulations and industry standards
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and single-line diagrams.
- Valid Class 5 driver's license with a clean, insurable driving record.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with customers and coworkers.
