WE are hiring for the cook’s position.

WE are located at 21 James Street Antigonish NS

This is a permanent position job description, with minimum of 30 hours per week.

Starting hourly Rate $17.50 to $22/hr.

duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

Food Preparation Specializations:

Stocks, soups and sauces, Eggs and dairy, Cold kitchen (salads, appetizers, sandwiches),

Meat, Poultry, Pasta, Fish, Seafood

Types of Meals/Food Prepared

Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

Specific Skills:

Prepare and cook full course meals, Prepare and cook individual dishes and foods, Plan menus, Ensure quality of food and determine size of food proportions, Estimate food requirements and costs, Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food, Order supplies and equipment, Maintain inventory and records of food,



supplies and equipment, Clean kitchen and work areas, Organize and manage buffets and banquets.

A successful candidate will have a minimum of 2 years cooking Experience.

Experience Cooking in a commercial Kitchen.

Know how to use a variety of Commercial Kitchen Equipment such as Fryers, Grill,

Food Processors, Knives and Dishwasher.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $17.50-$22.00 per hour
