Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Senior Buyer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in procurement, negotiation, and vendor management to support our purchasing operations.

Shift Available: Day Shift (8:00am to 4:30pm)

*Must be flexible as this timing may change, depending on customers’ needs.

Job Responsibilities:

- Provide measurable communications in all transactions (e.g. writing, email, in person).
- Continuous review of suppliers with goals of improved service and cost savings.
- Enter/check/obtain approvals for purchase order’s as required.
- Provide verified information to suppliers on purchase orders and releases.
- Monitor purchase orders for completeness, pricing, delivery, and validity.
- Perform costing preparations to support cost saving proposals & projects.
- Work with receiving staff and accounting staff on PO related issues.
- Conduct costing preparations to support cost saving proposals & projects.
- Maintain proper levels of inventory for supplies, restocking when necessary.
- Monitor and maintain up to date supplier profiles.
- Able to read blueprints for custom requirements.
- Remain current of market changes.
- Familiarity of how to use software to interpret and understand non-complex CAD drawings with minimal support.
- Able to evaluate, select, and establish relationships with vendors, and negotiate contracts for goods and services.
- Work with the SQE to determine costs of supplier chargebacks.
- Ensure contracts are in place and managed for all raw materials and other necessary services.
- Meet with key vendors regularly to focus on issues, new product offerings, and negotiations.




- Reply to enquiries from other departments on job costing, sourcing, etc.
- Assist Sales department with quoting activities.
- Complete, accurate and concise records and reports.

Skills:

- Experience in products/service buying within the automotive manufacturing industry.
- Able to read and interpret blueprints.
- Maintain and monitor appropriate stock level and assess reduction of inventory dollar value.
- Excellent negotiation skills for contracts on behalf of company.
- Able to evaluate & monitor contracts (vendors comply with terms and conditions)
- Skilled in both verbal and written communications.
- Effective time management, organization and prioritization skills.
- Possesses solid analytical skills.
- Understanding of relevant Quality Management Systems.

Experience:

- Business Central knowledge/: 3 years (required)
- Automotive/Manufacturing Buyer: 3 years (preferred)
- Vendor management/contract negotiation: 3 years (required)
- Blueprint reading: 1 year (preferred)
