Houston Signs offers a great 4-day work schedule Monday-Thursdays 7-5:30 with 3-day weekends every week and paid stat holidays.

We're looking for a Jack of all Trades. Someone who is good with their hands/tools and comfortable working at heights on ladders and boom lifts. We'll train the right candidate. We are looking primarily for a good attitude and willingness to work and adapt.

Training or knowledge in electrical is a huge asset but not required.

Previous knowledge/training in Aerial lift trucks, and/or Crane operation is preferred but not required. CSA Fall protection and MEWP Lift certification will be provided to the right candidate.

Day to Day tasks will include mostly installation and service in the field, but as a smaller sign shop everyone is expected to help fill in where needed in other departments including light vinyl work, shop maintenance, and basic fabrication.

Responsibilities

- Safely install a wide range of signage including channel letters, banners, vinyl graphics,



and structural signs at various locations across Vancouver Island
- Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on existing signs to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of signage during fabrication and installation
- Collaborate with team members to plan installation and troubleshoot technical issues on-site.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and project progress.
- Follow safety protocols diligently to ensure a secure working setting for yourself and others.
- Support warehouse or shop duties such as loading/unloading materials and preparing signage components for fabrication and installation.

Requirements

- Prior experience in sign installation, construction, or related trades is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided.
- Ability to lift heavy signage materials and operate basic hand tools safely.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver’s license is required.
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions and adapt to changing project schedules.
- Basic knowledge of safety procedures related to construction or installation work.

Pay: $26.00-$35.00 per hour
