This permanent part time role offers a competitive hourly wage and flexible hours based on emergency callouts, with a focus on delivering critical child and family services in alignment with public service excellence, collaboration, innovation, and accountability. Working within Child & Family Programs, employees contribute to improving safety, wellbeing, and quality of life for vulnerable individuals and families, in partnership with community and Indigenous organizations.

The role requires someone comfortable working irregular hours, traveling across rural and urban areas, and responding effectively to urgent situations involving children and families.



Candidates require knowledge of human services policies, practices, and procedures, typically gained through a diploma or degree in a related field and/or relevant experience. Strong assessment, interviewing, case planning, documentation, and risk evaluation skills are essential, along with the ability to coordinate community resources and de-escalate crises.

A valid drivers license is required, as well as the ability to lift small children. Core competencies include communication, digital literacy, adaptability, and organizational awareness.

Responsibilities include assessing client needs, developing and adjusting case plans, documenting case information, and responding to safety risks.
