Teacher on calls replace regular classroom teachers or education assistants on an as needed basis. They are responsible for delivering set lesson plans, maintaining the positive learning climate of the school, managing students and expectations in the classroom and broader learning environments, and collaborating with other educators as needed to ensure the success of the students in their class.

High School Diploma

Experience working with children in a school or childcare setting Bachelor of Education (Elementary, Middle or Secondary) degree, or equivalent training would be an asset A valid Teacher Regulation Branch Certificate, or in progress would be an asset Ability to understand and effectively carry out general oral and written instructions with a minimum of supervision Successful experience integrating local Indigenous culture and traditions into curriculum, or familiarity with and understanding of local Indigenous culture and commitment to integrate it into the curriculum Successful experience working collaboratively with rural school communities, Yukon First Nations and local partners to support student learning and foster positive relationships.
