Job Overview

Bakery Manager oversees the bakery's daily operations, manages wholesale customers, manages staff, maintains product and service quality, and ensures an exceptional customer experience. You’ll be responsible for building and leading the team, supporting our wholesale and retail bakery operations, and driving financial performance.

This is a dynamic, full-time role ideal for someone who loves both the creative and operational sides of hospitality.

Operations & Leadership

- Oversee all bakery operations (retail cafes and wholesale) to ensure smooth daily service
- Prepare and maintain daily production plan based on current demand
- Help recruit, train, and motivate bakers and support staff
- Schedule and supervise staff to maintain efficiency and excellent service
- Implement opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and POS management
- Work closely with the bakery and kitchen teams to coordinate inventory and menu changes

Customer Experience for Cafes

- Create and maintain a welcoming, customer-focused workplace
- Handle customer feedback and resolve issues professionally
- Foster a culture of warmth, efficiency, and pride in quality

Financial Management

- Monitor daily sales, cost of goods, and labour targets
- Manage inventory, ordering,



and supplier relationships
- Prepare weekly reports and collaborate with ownership on sales strategies and budgets

Compliance & Standards

- Ensure food safety, cleanliness, and health regulations are always met

Qualifications

- 2–4 years of managing experience (a café, bakery, or restaurant)
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Passion for baked goods, coffee, and hospitality
- Proficient in POS systems, scheduling tools, and basic financial tracking
- Food Handler certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
