Duties

- Prepare and bake a variety of baked goods including bread, pastries, cakes, and cookies with precision and creativity
- Decorate cakes and desserts using cake decorating techniques to meet customer specifications and quality standards
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as mixing, measuring, and portioning ingredients efficiently
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bakery workspace in accordance with food safety regulations
- Package baked items carefully for retail display or customer takeout, ensuring presentation quality




- Monitor baking times and oven temperatures to ensure products are baked to perfection
- Provide excellent customer service by answering questions about baked goods and offering product recommendations when needed

Requirements

- Proven experience in baking, cake decorating, or working in a busy kitchen environment, preferably within the food industry or restaurant setting
- Knowledge of food handling procedures and adherence to food safety standards
- Strong skills in food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen operations
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced bakery environment
- Excellent attention to detail for decorating cakes and maintaining product consistency
- Positive communication skills and a positive attitude toward teamwork and customer service
- Prior experience with packaging baked goods for retail or wholesale distribution is a plus
