Reporting to the Manager Surgical Services, you will beresponsible for providing quality nursing care to patients including complex patient populations whose outcomes are notpredictable. As part of a multidisciplinary health care team, you will practice within the Professional Standards of theCollege of Nurses of Ontario, the Philosophy of patient and family centered care, mission vision, values and thepolicies of Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre.
Current unrestricted registration as a Registered Nurse withthe College of Nurses of Ontario, or the ability to become licensed with the College of Nurses of Ontario Recent knowledge in Surgical Nursing with experience caring forpre and postoperative surgical patients with TPN, Experience with managing and monitoring patients receivingconscious sedation Ability to use the Nursing Process (assessment, planning,implementation, evaluation) in conjunction with her/his basic and ongoing knowledge to arrive at individualized careplanning and delivery Knowledge relevant to surgical nursing practice Ability to simultaneously manage multiple nursing interventions The Health Sciences Centre strives to ensure the safety andsecurity of the patients, visitors, employees and assets financial and otherwise. and proof of full vaccinations approved by Health Canada to Occupational Health& Safety.
