Location Edmonton, Canada Sector Accountancy (Qualified) Salary 44.00 CAD to 49.00 CAD per hour We're partnering with a well-established Alberta organization to find an IntermediateAccountant for a 6-month contract. This is an excellent opportunity for a CPA who enjoys a mix of financial reporting, month-end analysis, process improvement, and special projects in a collaborative environment. After an initial training period in the office, this role offers a flexible hybrid schedule with only 1–3 in-office days per month.

Prepare month-end journal entries, reconciliations, and working papers. Support financial reporting, variance analysis, budgeting, and forecasting activities. Assist with year-end financial statements and audit preparation.

Analyze financial data and provide reporting to support business decisions. Support treasury, cash management, and tax-related activities as required.



Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and strengthen internal controls.

Participate in finance projects and continuous improvement initiatives. CPA designation is required. ~4+ years of progressive accounting experience. ~ Robust financial reporting, reconciliations, and month-end experience. ~ Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical abilities. ~ Experience preparing audit working papers and supporting year-end processes. ~ Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is a strong asset. ~ Public practice, benefits, or insurance industry experience is considered an asset.
