Position Summary

Reporting to the Resident Care Manager, the Administrative Assistant provides reception, administrative, scheduling / payroll services and works with the Resident Care Manager on receiving and responding to inquiries.

Collaborate effectively as a professional team player, supporting the achievement of Covenant’s Mission, Vision, and Values Key Responsibilities Provides administrative assistance and clerical services to the Resident Care Manager and Leadership team.
Provides receptionist duties while working at front desk.
Responsible for daily admission, discharge, and transfers of all residents.
Fiscal Responsibilities such as managing petty cash and making deposits of food/ resident payments
Perform other duties as assigned Major Qualifications Certificate in Administrative Assistant required
Two (2) years of secretarial/administrative experience required (In supportive living environment preferred)
Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products and desktop publishing programs
Experience is Dayforce HRIS software is beneficial
Courteous in receiving and assisting residents, families, volunteer and visitors
Experience working with seniors is an asset
Ability to set priorities, self motivated, able to work under pressure and deal with people in a conflict situation Ability to maintain valuable working relations with staff, public and outside agencies
Effective written (including electronic) and verbal communication
Strong inter-personal skills
Flexibility with changes in the organization and maintain a positive outlook
