We are seeking a caring and detail-oriented individual to join our Public Health (PH) Team.
This Administrative
Support (AS) III position is a key member of the PH team, working with the PH Nursing Team, to provide integrated, strength based, family centered PH care. The incumbent works independently in a fast-paced environment and plays a critical role in maintaining effective and efficient operations within the PH program.As a member of the PH Team, the AS III is responsible for supporting daily operations of the PH program including answering/directing phone calls, data entry, records management, ordering, scheduling, and quality improvement activities. The successful candidate is skilled at anticipating the needs and demands of the PH Team. This position reports to the Public Health Area Manager.

Required Qualifications
Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent.

Demonstrated effective written and verbal communication skillsPublic relations skills are essentialBe able to work under minimal guidance and supervisionKnowledge of computer technology and applications including website navigation, office or business applications, health database use (ePeople, Netcare, Meditech, Connect Care or other), Microsoft Office SuitesAdhere to strict organizational policies, procedures, and legislated requirements regarding patient confidentialityHandle frequent interruptions and still meet workload timelinesWork in a loud, chaotic, busy workplace with other admin supports.Perform administrative duties to support programs and services within the PCA Public Health North portfolio and completed with a high-level accuracy independently but also interdependent within a larger team environment across multiple sites/programs
Preferred Qualifications
Business Administration diploma or certificate from a recognized post-secondary institution. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered acceptable.Previous experience in an office environment within the last five (5) years.Previous experience in a health care settingKnowledge and experience with Connect Care & Microsoft 365 Suites
