Toronto Metropolitan University is reshaping the downtown core of Toronto with three new buildings: the Mattamy Athletic Centre at the Gardens, the Toronto Metropolitan University Image Centre in the heart of campus, and a Student Learning Centre on Yonge Street. In addition, currently in progress is the development of a new multipurpose building, the Church Street development (CSD).



This new building will be located just north of Dundas on Church Street and will be home to four academic health services programs, Toronto Met.

University food services, administration, and a student residence.

Responsibilities

1 position at 185 hours/term assisting the professor with grading exams, assignments, and other course assessments; reviewing and processing student participation records; maintaining and consolidating course assessment records; and providing other academic and administrative support related to course delivery and assessment.

Qualifications

Enrolled in: 4th year of Ryerson Undergraduate Program. Overall academic performance at B+ (3.3 GPA) or above.

Must have completed course with B+ (3.3 GPA) or above grade level.

Previous evaluation of performance as an Assistant at the University (if applicable).

Relevant Experience

- Strong academic background in accounting or a closely related field.
- Demonstrated knowledge of accounting ethics, sustainability, and/or related professional accounting topics.
- Previous completion of a course in accounting ethics, sustainability accounting, or a related area with strong academic performance is an asset.
- A CPA designation, enrolment in CPA PEP, or other relevant skilled accounting experience is a strong asset.
- Previous experience as an Academic Assistant, Teaching Assistant, or in grading related coursework is an asset.
- Previous evaluation of performance as an Assistant at the University, if applicable, will also be considered.

Salary & Compensation

September 1, 2025 to August 31, 2026 Academic Assistants Undergrad - $39.57 per hour

September 1, 2026 to August 31, 2027
