Noojmowin Teg Health Centre seeks the services of Aging at Home Van Support Drivers.
The Van Support
Driver will work as part of an interdisciplinary team to improve transportation services for individuals 55 years and older for the Manitoulin Island District. The successful candidate will work in collaboration with various external organizations, establishing linkages with community programs and services Island-wide to enhance access to transportation services for medical care, home management and social programming.
Noojmowin Teg Health
Centre is comprised of a multi-team of health care professionals providing community-based services through the use of a wholistic approach that integrates both traditional and western healing methods. Services are offered on-site and community based (through the Manitoulin Island District First Nations Health Centres).
Given the traditional practices of the Anishinabek, from time to time, exposure to wood smoke and the burning of sacred medicines, including tobacco, sweet grass, sage, and cedar, may occur within the work setting.
