Summary

The Alterationist fits, pins, marks and alters garments to client specifications in the store alterations atelier. The role focuses on delivering high-quality technical alterations for luxury fabrics, ensuring correct fit and timely completion while partnering with sales associates to satisfy clients.

Responsibilities

- Measure clients to determine scope of work

- Pin and mark garments appropriate to fabric and fit

- Complete alterations to the highest technical standard and deliver on or before promised date

- Inform clients of alteration charges and confirm promise dates

- Partner with Sales Associates and provide expert guidance on cut and fit

- Maintain a clean, orderly atelier and report supply or equipment needs

Requirements

- Tailoring/seamstress technical training or equivalent

- 2 years experience in a similar capacity

- Experience altering luxury fabrications

- Ability to communicate comfortably in English and/or French
