As part of a dedicated, professional team, you will provide consulting services to and manage projects for medium and large clients. You will participate, collaborate, and support the team and Benefits Consultant(s) in delivering impactful solutions to clients.

The Associate Benefits Consultant will: Contribute to the overall design and management of group medical, dental, life, disability and special risk benefits for clients; including: Develop and implement strategies and activities to support client retention Identify the client’s group insurance risks and recommends appropriate plan design and cost mitigation strategies Assess, negotiate, write reports and prepare presentations relating to group renewals Assessment, negotiation and report/presentation preparation for marketing and peer review of quote comparisons; Be accountable for the smooth transition of perks to new carriers ensuring any client risk and exposure is mitigated (i.e. plan mapping, member coverage, communication); Act as "second chair" for medium to large clients Manage the quality and timeliness of client deliverables Develop annual client plans to ensure clients are receiving value added service and that the work being produced aligns with client goals and objectives Participating in client calls and meetings as appropriate and assisting with the preparation of presentations, documents, etc. Manage client expectations and effectively deal with concerns or issues Mentor analysts/technical staff and other team members as needed and peer review work Assist on specific projects,



initiatives and research; Support new business/sales initiatives Continuing education to maintain a high level of knowledge of employee benefit legislation, administrative issues, plan rules, claim management and client specific procedures Participate in industry conferences, seminars, etc. Foster and develop positive supplier relations to enable strong partnerships for your clients Build and maintain strong relationships with colleagues, shared services, practice areas, etc.

To be successful as an Associate Benefits Consultant with People Corporation, you will need: ~4–5 years of relevant experience in group benefits, benefits consulting, group insurance, underwriting, or a related field. ~ Strong understanding of group perks plans, including medical, dental, life, disability, and special risk benefits. ~ Strong technical and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data, assess benefit plans, analyze costs, and develop recommendations. ~ Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with strong overall proficiency in Microsoft Office. ~ Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple client priorities, deadlines, and deliverables while maintaining a high level of accuracy. ~ Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with Benefits Consultants, analysts,



and other team members. ~ Ability and willingness to travel within the GTA to attend client meetings and other business-related activities. ~ LLQP or Life License is considered an asset.

Experience with iCare and/or EPIC is considered an asset. ~ Experience with renewals, quote comparisons, marketing/peer reviews, plan design, pricing, and carrier negotiations is an asset. ~ A proactive, client-focused approach with strong attention to detail and the ability to identify issues, assess risks, and recommend practical solutions. This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation (i.e. annual bonus). The actual base salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training.
