Stereo Biotherapeutics Inc. is a Montreal-based early-stage biotech company focused on developing small format soluble TCR-like molecules to drive the therapeutic activity of T cells against cancer cells in a highly cell-specific manner. Role: Associate Scientist, Cellular Immunology

Estimated hours: Full time

Location: Montreal, Quebec, Canada

We are seeking a motivated Associate Scientist to join the Biology team. This role will support execution of cell-based and other immunoassays to enable discovery and development of TCR based cancer therapeutics. The ideal candidate will be a strong experimentalist with experience in cell culture and bioassay execution who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

This is a hands-on laboratory role focused on assay execution, data generation, and maintaining high quality experimental standards while developing technical depth in immuno-oncology drug development.

Responsibilities

- Develop, optimize, and validate cell-based and immunoassays to support drug development programs.
- Handle human blood-derived cell products (e.g., PBMCs, primary T cells)
- Conduct high-throughput assays using plate-based assays, IncuCyte imaging,



flow cytometry, and ELISA-based platforms.
- Perform cell culture experiments with cancer and immune cells under stringent quality control guidelines.
- Maintain detailed and organized documentation consistent with company standards.
- Conduct reagent batch qualification to ensure assay consistency and reliability.
- Analyze data, prepare reports, and present findings to internal teams.

Qualifications

- BS or MS in a relevant scientific discipline.
- Typically 2–4 years of relevant industry experience.
- Skilled in routine sterile/aseptic tissue culture including culture of human cell lines and primary cells (e.g., PBMCs, T cells).
- Experience executing cell-based assays specifically using primary T cells and cancer cell lines with some troubleshooting experience.
- Working knowledge of flow cytometry and immunoassay techniques.
- Demonstrated ability to work with limited supervision and manage multiple experiments simultaneously.

Preferred qualifications

- Experience supporting oncology, immunology, or biologics discovery programs.
- Experience with IncuCyte, flow cytometry, other related assay platforms.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-throughput research environments, where research priorities may shift routinely.
- Solid data analysis and scientific communication skills.
