The Township of Esquimalt is looking for a motivated individual to join their Recreation Department. This auxiliary position involves walking children to and from the Esquimalt Recreation Centre and Macaulay Elementary, and leading wide-ranging engaging afternoon activities. The successful candidate should possess skills in behavior management and communication with parents, along with current First Aid certification.
Key Responsibilities: • Walk children between recreation centre and elementary school • Lead diverse afternoon activities,
including crafts and science • Manage child behavior and communicate with parents • Administer required First Aid and medications • Oversee safety during all recreational activities
Requirements: • Minimum age of 19 years • 20 hours of relevant coursework completed • Current Standard First Aid and CPR C Certification • Clear Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check • Passion for child development and recreation activities
