Job Overview

We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional customer service while preparing and serving high-quality beverages and food items. The position involves food handling, cash handling, and maintaining cleanliness standards, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for all customers.

Responsibilities

- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and specialty drinks with attention to quality and presentation
- Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, accurately processing transactions and handling cash and card payments
- Assist customers with menu selections, answer questions about products, and provide excellent customer service
- Handle food preparation tasks such as assembling food items, maintaining food safety standards, and ensuring proper food handling procedures
- Maintain cleanliness of the work area, including cleaning equipment, utensils, and counters in accordance with health regulations
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service and minimize wait times




- Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth daily operations
- Follow food safety guidelines and adhere to health department standards

Requirements

- Previous experience as a Barista or in the food service industry is preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Knowledge of POS systems, particularly Micros POS, is advantageous
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests
- Basic math skills for cash handling, making change, and processing transactions accurately
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills to handle high-volume periods effectively
- Food safety certification or willingness to obtain certification upon hire is preferred
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds as needed
