Location: Greater Toronto Area / Mississauga, Ontario

Work Model: Primarily In-Office / On-Site + Project Site Travel as Required

Employment Type: Full-Time / Project-Based

About the Opportunity

Our Client is an established technology and systems integration organization supporting commercial, institutional, industrial, mission-critical, and enterprise environments.

Our Client is seeking a BAS / Graphics Designer – Building Automation / EBO to support a large Building Automation System modernization and migration program.

The role will focus on developing Edge Server-specific BAS graphics, floor plans, system navigation, and equipment pages using approved project standards, templates, graphical conventions, and prepared engineering data.

The BAS / Graphics Designer will map prepared BAS points to graphical elements, incorporate technical and design comments, complete revisions, and support validation of graphics before migration, commissioning, and final system turnover.

This position is best suited to someone with practical BAS graphics experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to accurately translate controls information and prepared point data into clear and consistent operator graphics.

What You’ll Do

- Develop BAS graphics for assigned buildings, systems, and Edge Server environments.
- Create equipment pages, system graphics, floor plans, navigation pages, and operator displays using approved project templates and standards.
- Apply established graphical conventions, symbols, layouts, naming standards, and navigation requirements.
- Map prepared BAS points and objects to graphical elements.
- Bind graphics to the appropriate live system points, values, statuses, alarms, commands, setpoints, and other operational data.
- Develop graphics for common BAS equipment and systems such as air-handling units, VAVs, pumps, boilers, chillers, fans, terminal equipment, and related building systems.
- Create and update floor plans showing equipment locations, zones, spaces, or other required building information.
- Develop consistent navigation between buildings, floors, systems, and equipment pages.
- Apply approved reusable templates and graphical components to improve consistency across the EBO environment.
- Modify approved templates where required to accommodate site-specific equipment or system conditions.
- Incorporate engineering, technical, operational, and design review comments into graphics.
- Complete graphical revisions and corrections within assigned project timelines.
- Review prepared point information before completing graphics and identify missing, inconsistent, or questionable data.
- Escalate point-mapping, naming, configuration, or engineering-data issues to the appropriate BAS Specialist or Systems Integrator.
- Coordinate with BAS engineering teams to confirm correct point relationships and system operation.
- Support migration of existing graphics into the approved EBO graphical structure.
- Recreate or update existing graphics where they do not meet current project standards.

- Maintain consistency across Edge Servers and migration phases.
- Support graphical representation of alarms, equipment status, commands, overrides, trends, and other operator information.
- Confirm graphical values, status indications, commands, and equipment states are displayed correctly.
- Perform graphical QA checks before submitting work for technical review.
- Correct deficiencies identified during graphics review, commissioning, or system validation.
- Support pre- and post-migration graphics validation.
- Assist with testing graphics against live BAS data.
- Support commissioning and functional verification of completed graphics.
- Maintain graphics development records, revision information, issue logs, and related project documentation.
- Follow established file-management, naming, version-control, and documentation requirements.
- Participate in design reviews, engineering coordination, migration planning, or project meetings when required.
- Work closely with the Graphics Specialist, BAS Specialists, Senior Systems Integrators, Controls Specialists, and commissioning teams.
- Follow applicable project, engineering, graphical, quality, and safety standards.
