GreenVeil Packaging Inc. is an Ontario cleantech materials company developing ultra-biodegradable and antimicrobial biocomposites for food and agricultural applications. Our proprietary platform combines wood-derived materials with Ontario-sourced minerals to create sustainable films, coatings and formed products.

Position Summary

GreenVeil is seeking a recent bachelor's, master's, or PhD graduate in biology or a closely related discipline to support biological testing and validation of our biodegradable materials and products. The role combines hands-on experimental work with the identification and coordination of specialized external testing. The successful candidate will help select appropriate methods, prepare and submit samples, perform experiments where suitable facilities are available, analyze results and prepare technical reports.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan and perform biological experiments related to biodegradable materials and their applications.
- Prepare biological samples, solutions, media, controls and experimental documentation.
- Support biodegradation, cytotoxicity, soil-material interaction and other relevant biological assessments.
- Identify suitable analytical methods, protocols, standards, laboratories and service providers.
- Contact laboratories to confirm methods, sample requirements, pricing, timelines and deliverables.
- Coordinate external testing from sample submission through receipt and review of final results.




- Review scientific literature and relevant ASTM, ISO or other testing standards.
- Collect, organize, analyze and interpret experimental data; maintain accurate laboratory records.
- Prepare technical summaries, reports and presentations for R&D; decisions.
- Communicate with researchers, laboratories, industry partners and technical service providers.

Qualifications

- Recently completed bachelor's, master's, or PhD in biology, microbiology, biotechnology, biochemistry, molecular biology or a related field.
- Demonstrated hands-on experience performing biological laboratory experiments.
- Experience with experimental design, sample preparation, data analysis and scientific documentation.
- Ability to independently research testing methods and communicate effectively with external laboratories.
- Solid communication, organization, attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple experiments and external testing activities.

Program Eligibility This position is supported through a government-funded employment program. Applicants must meet the following requirements:

- Be between 15 and 30 years of age at the time of selection.
- Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident or protected person legally entitled to work in Canada
