GFL Environmental is looking for a Full Time Bottle Depot Processor / Laborer to join our Victoria, BC team!

A Bottle Depot Processor / Laborer is responsible to safely collect and separate recyclable materials and prepare them for shipping in a safe, efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities:

- Handle customer inquiries and complaints
- Sort refundable items according to Encrop Pacific processing policies
- Provide information about a variety of accepted products
- Prepare, package, and load product for shipping
- Troubleshoot and resolve product issues and concerns
- Develop and maintain a knowledge base of the evolving product return programs

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities And Competencies:

- Previous experience in customer service, including cash handling
- Ability to build rapport with clients
- Ability to prioritize and multitask
- Forklift Experience
- Positive and professional demeanor
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Class 5 Drivers License.
- Knowledge of the city.
- Knowledge of the industry an asset.

Physical/Mental Demands:

- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, reach and lift in an outdoor environment 90% of the time.
- Ability to manually lift/move up to 65 pounds regularly
- Ability to manually push/move up to 100 pounds with assistance from another employee

Working Conditions:

- Frequently exposed to loud noise, humidity, rainy/stormy, extreme hot and cold weather

conditions (depending upon season), moving mechanical parts, vibrations, toxic and caustic chemicals, fumes and airborne particles
- Work in outdoor environment up to 100% of the time.
