This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a C++/C Software Developer (Independent Contractor) based in Canada.

- This is a remote, fixed-term contract opportunity focused on modernizing a mission-critical telecommunications call-handling platform.

- You’ll work hands-on with C++ and Linux systems, helping migrate legacy 32-bit subsystems to a contemporary 64-bit architecture.

- A key part of the role involves supporting the transition from CentOS 7 to Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9 through scripting and automation.

- You’ll contribute across development, testing, security, CI/CD, and release activities as part of an established engineering team.

- The role offers significant technical ownership and autonomy, with a defined modernization roadmap and clear delivery objectives.

- You’ll collaborate closely with experienced engineers while applying strong technical judgment to complex systems and infrastructure challenges.

- This engagement is designed for an independent contractor who can contribute quickly and help accelerate platform modernization through Q1 2027.
