Role Description This is a part-time remote role for a Transcriber. The Transcriber will listen to audio and video recordings and convert them into clear, accurate written documents following provided style guidelines. Daily tasks include reviewing and editing transcripts for grammar, clarity, and formatting, as well as verifying names, terminology, and other details through basic online research when needed.

The role also involves meeting agreed-upon deadlines, managing assigned workloads, and communicating promptly with the team regarding project status or questions.



The Transcriber is expected to maintain confidentiality and adhere to data protection standards at all times.

Qualifications

- Strong transcription and typing skills, with the ability to accurately capture spoken content and maintain consistent formatting.
- Excellent command of written English, including grammar, punctuation, and spelling, and the ability to produce clear, concise text.
- Attention to detail and strong listening skills, including the ability to handle varying accents, audio quality, and specialized terminology.
- Comfort with basic research to verify names, terms, and references, and familiarity with common productivity and word processing tools.
- Reliable internet connection, ability to work independently in a remote setting, and strong time management skills to meet deadlines.
- Experience with transcription software or foot pedals is beneficial; prior professional transcription or administrative experience is a plus.
- Commitment to confidentiality and data security; understanding of privacy requirements and client-sensitive information handling.
