Join our dedicated Cardiac Anesthesia Division at Kelowna General Hospital as a locum physician. This role focuses primarily on caring for post-operative cardiac surgery patients in our specialized unit. This locum position in the Cardiac Surgery Intensive Care Unit offers an exciting opportunity for physicians with a background in cardiac critical care.

You will enhance our team's efforts to deliver premium care in a supportive environment as we manage an increasing number of surgeries. Your contributions will have a direct impact on patient outcomes and the educational experience of medical trainees. Key Responsibilities:

- Support management in a 6-bed Cardiac Surgery Intensive Care Unit
- Handle short-term mechanical support including ECMO and VAD




- Assist in TAVI support and consultations for surgery
- Participate in departmental teaching and training initiatives
- Manage acute pain services and sedation beyond the OR Requirements:
- Fellowship training in Anesthesiology
- Certification in TEE from the relevant board
- Experience in post-cardiac surgery care
- Capability to undertake diverse medical specialties on-call
