Position Summary

Carpenters at On Side rebuild and restore damaged personal property anywhere and anytime a disaster strikes. With the goal of getting things back to a pre-disaster state Carpenters or Multi-Skilled Tradespeople, use the skills of carpenters, drywallers and painters! If you’re passionate about helping people and skilled at making things right, this is your chance to make a real difference.

Compensation

Salary Range: $29-$35/hour

Overtime opportunities (where applicable)

What You’ll Do

Finishing work and fine details, rough and trim

Installation, doors, trim, moldings, baseboards and hardware

Repairs to wooden structures of all sorts

Insulation and vapour barrier

Cabinetry (removal, repair, reinstallation)

Flooring installation and repairs

Framing

Cross train into other departments

What You Bring

5+ years doing interior carpentry repairs/restoration

Interior carpentry repairs

Experience with interior and exterior home repairs

Leadership to guide helpers and train less experienced workers

Refined skills with various in-home renovation repairs/restoration vs recent build





Restoration/rebuild focus (flood/fire damage)

Attention to detail, passion for quality and pride in the work you do

Tools and the skills to use them

Strong people and communication skills A safety mindset

Willingness to cross train into other departments

Tech-savvy (comfortable using apps and software)

Valid drivers license

Ability to pass a criminal record check

Ability to communicate in English, both written and spoken
