Classroom Full Time Paincourt, ON $27.54 CAD per hour Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) Job Type: Full Time Posting Status: New Vacancy (12) Tilbury Tots Early Learning Centre @ Riverview Gardens Tilbury Tots Early Learning Centre is seeking Registered Early Childhood Educators (RECE) who are experienced in supporting children with additional needs and behaviour challenges.

Centre is a multi-site organization committed to delivering high-quality inclusive early learning programs across all locations. Our teams work collaboratively to ensure all children of all abilities are supported with secure, structured and engaging environments. Be included in staff-to child ratio as required under the Childcare and Early Years Act (CCEYA).

Provide additional in class support for children requiring individualized behavioural or development strategies. Provide support to children with complex needs that may require a lift, wheelchair, feeding tube etc. The successful candidate must demonstrate flexibility as they may be required to work at various Tilbury Tots Early Learning Centre locations.

Diploma in Early Childhood Education and in good standing with the College of ECE AND/OR Diploma in Child and Youth Work (CYW), Developmental Service Worker (DSW), Personal Support Worker (PSW) or Autism and Behaviour.



Demonstrated experience supporting children with additional needs and behavioural challenges Deliver developmentally appropriate programming in collaboration with the classroom team Maintain compliance with CCEYA licensing standards and organizational policies Support all children based on their social, emotional and physical needs that allow all children to meet their full potential. Work as a team to create an environment that meets all children’s needs.

Take an active role in implementing and supporting inclusion strategies, which will include making modifications and/or adaptations that supports the learning of children in the program Model social play opportunities to all children in the program Be knowledgeable on all children’s medical history Plan, prepare and implement daily activities (outdoor/indoors) Diapering care and supervision of all toileting and bathroom routines Oversee all children’s feeding and meal time/snack time activities Physical and Environmental Requirements Frequently lift and carry children weighing up to 40lbs Engage in active supervision including- prolonged standing, walking, bending, kneeling and sitting on the floor. Fully prepare to participate in outdoor programing in various weather conditions Support children who may demonstrate escalated behaviours including aggression, or emotional dysregulation Multi-site flexibility and adaptability Training in Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Experience with implementation of ISP’s Tilbury Tots Early Learning Centre is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace for all.
