Job Summary

Employment would be starting in June 2026 until September 2026. This is a in home child care job, we are seeking a passionate and energetic individual to create a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for our children. In this vital role, you will support children's development through attentive supervision, educational activities, and compassionate interaction.

Your enthusiasm and dedication will help foster a positive atmosphere where children feel valued, secure, and inspired to explore and learn. Every ei eligible weeks will be 40 hrs but actual working hours will vary, as will pay.

Responsibilities

- Supervise children during daily activities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
- Plan and implement age-appropriate educational and recreational activities that promote development and social skills
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment conducive to learning and play
- Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding children's progress, needs, and any concerns
- Assist with meal times, snack preparation, and maintaining proper hygiene standards
- Observe children closely to identify any signs of distress or developmental delays, reporting concerns promptly
- Support children in following routines and behavioral expectations to foster positive habits

Requirements





- Prior experience working with children in a childcare or educational setting is preferred but not mandatory
- Strong communication skills to engage with children and parents effectively
- Ability to remain energetic, patient, and attentive throughout the day
- Knowledge of child development principles and safety protocols
- Certification in CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) and first aid is highly desirable
- Must be reliable, responsible, and committed to creating a supportive environment for children

I have two children, aged 5 years and 1 year. My 5 year old is very energetic and potentially ADHD. This requires a lot of patience and understanding with him. You would be required to come to my home for two day shifts of 10hrs and two night shifts of 10hrs and two days off. My schedule shifts each week and some shifts may result in the weekend when my husband is home to care for the children. Therefore number of shifts may change throughout the month but ei eligible weeks will remain constant. I prepare meals and clean the home. You would be required to prepare bottles, warm food, and do light cleaning. Pay: $19.00-$20.00 per hour
