Job Summary

Westwave is hiring Class 1 company drivers for dedicated routes out of our Alberta terminal. Each driver is assigned their own truck and a consistent lane. Pay is per mile with steady, predictable monthly miles, and the freight is straightforward — mostly single pick, single drop, no tarping, no touch freight.

Compensation

- $0.60 per mile
- 12,000+ miles per month
- $1,000 sign-on and safety bonus (terms apply)
- Paid on a consistent, scheduled pay cycle by direct deposit or cheque

Routes

- Alberta to British Columbia
- Alberta to United States
- British Columbia to United States

Duties

- Operate Class 1 tractor-trailer units safely on assigned dedicated routes, following all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Complete pickups and deliveries on schedule
- Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections
- Secure loads in compliance with safety regulations
- Maintain accurate electronic logs and comply with Hours of Service rules
- Communicate with dispatch on routes, delays, border wait times, and delivery issues
- Present professionally at shipper and receiver locations
- Report incidents, delays, and mechanical concerns promptly

Qualifications

- Valid Class 1 driver's licence




- Minimum 1 year of verifiable Class 1 driving experience
- Clean commercial driver's abstract
- Eligible to cross into the United States (FAST card an asset)
- Working knowledge of ELDs and Hours of Service
- Legally authorized to work in Canada

Additional Requirements

- Pre-employment screening, including driver's abstract review
- Criminal record check
- Drug and alcohol testing as required for US operations
- Road test may be required
