Role Description This is a remote, contract role for a Clinical Psychologist at Sukoon Cares.

The Clinical

Psychologist will conduct comprehensive psychological assessments, provide individual and, where appropriate, family or group psychotherapy, and develop culturally responsive treatment plans for clients from the South Asian diaspora. Day-to-day responsibilities include maintaining accurate clinical documentation, coordinating care with other mental health professionals when needed, and participating in case consultations. The role also involves using culturally informed frameworks in clinical work, supporting clients with a range of mental health concerns,



and contributing to continuous improvement of clinical practices and client resources.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in Psychology and Counseling Psychology, with the ability to apply culturally responsive frameworks in clinical practice.
- Demonstrated expertise in Mental Health assessment and intervention, including work with anxiety, mood disorders, trauma, and adjustment concerns.
- Proficiency in Psychological Testing, including selection, administration, scoring, and interpretation of relevant assessment tools.
- Experience in Clinical Supervision or openness to cooperative case discussions and peer consultation.
- Graduate degree (PhD or PsyD) in Clinical or Counseling Psychology from an accredited institution.
- Active licensure (or license-eligible status) as a psychologist in a relevant jurisdiction, in good standing.
- Prior experience working with South Asian clients or demonstrated interest and training in culturally adapted care.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong ethical judgment, and ability to work independently in a remote setting.
