Alberta Hip and Knee Clinic The Alberta Hip and Knee Clinic is dedicated to helping Albertans live their best lives. Our 23 Orthopedic Surgeons are part of a multidisciplinary team dedicated to relieving the pain of arthritis. As the Clinical Team Lead, you inspire excellence in patient care, empower your team, and help individuals regain strength, mobility, and confidence in every step they take. The Team:
We use a multidisciplinary team approach to care. You’ll work with Bone & Joint Surgeons and Specialists, Nurse Case Managers, a Rehabilitation Team, Medical Office Assistants, Administrative Staff, and Research Leads.
The Role:
The team lead takes responsibility for the clinical staff. This full-time on-site position works from 7:30 – 4:00, Monday to Friday.
How You’ll Spend Your Time
Operational Leadership – 50% of your time is spent here:
- Ensure smooth and efficient daily operations of the clinic
- Supporting human resources and team development
- Providing proactive mentorship and staff support
- Optimize workload and workflow management
- Find consensus and apply best practice
- Fostering a positive, inclusive and collaborative culture
Innovation and Change Management - 25% of your time is spent here:
- Promoting Innovation and improving efficiency
- Identifying and introducing current processes, technologies and systems
- Ensuring smooth operations and minimizing disruptions
Patient Engagement and Communications – 15% of your time is spent here:
- Delivering clear, transparent and consistent communications
- Maintaining the highest standards of patient care
- Respectfully handling challenging patient interactions
Other duties and projects as assigned – 10% of your time is spent here.
Education/Certification
- Completion of a bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare or related fields.
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a Healthcare leadership role
- Hands-on healthcare experience in a similar-sized environment would be an asset
- Experience in orthopedic or a similar specialized medical environment
