AWS Cloud Engineer

We are seeking an experienced
AWS Cloud Engineer to support a cloud maturity initiative focused on improving, automating, and optimizing AWS cloud infrastructure and container environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and manage
AWS container orchestration environments
, including Amazon EKS and Kubernetes.
- Manage Docker containers, container images, registries, and application deployments.
- Implement and maintain
CI/CD pipelines for automated builds, testing, and deployments.
- Build and manage pipelines using
AWS CodePipeline and/or GitLab Runner
.
- Implement Kubernetes autoscaling, load balancing, resource optimization, and performance improvements.
- Develop
Shell and Python scripts
, AWS Lambda functions, and CloudFormation templates to automate AWS resource provisioning.
- Automate the creation and management of AWS accounts, networking services, and firewall rules.
- Implement monitoring and logging solutions using tools such as
Prometheus and Grafana
.
- Support AWS networking services including VPC, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect Gateway, Route 53, API Gateway, and Gateway Load Balancer.
- Troubleshoot and optimize production cloud and container environments.
- Maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, procedures, and runbooks.
- Provide project updates, technical briefings,
and communicate risks and challenges to project leadership.
Must-Have Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of hands-on AWS Cloud Engineer or DevOps experience
.
- Experience working with
AWS in a multi-account production setting
.
- Strong hands-on experience with
Kubernetes and Amazon EKS
.
- Solid experience with
Docker and containerized application environments.
- Experience with
ECS and/or Fargate
.
- Solid understanding of
CI/CD and DevOps practices
.
- Experience with
AWS CodePipeline, GitLab Runner, and/or Ansible
.
- Hands-on experience developing
AWS Lambda functions.
- Experience with
CloudFormation/IaC
.
- Strong scripting skills using
Python and Shell
.
- Knowledge of AWS networking, including
VPC, Transit Gateway, Route 53, Direct Connect Gateway, API Gateway, and Gateway Load Balancer
.
- Experience with container monitoring and observability tools such as
Prometheus and Grafana
.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is a hands-on
AWS Cloud/DevOps Engineer with strong
EKS/Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD, CloudFormation, scripting, AWS networking, and production cloud automation experience.
