TheNamgis First Nation is hiring a community-focused physician to enhance health services in Alert Bay. This role involves ER coverage and ongoing patient care within a team-oriented health team. As a member of the Namgis Health Centre, the physician will provide comprehensive medical care in a supportive team environment.

Responsibilities include managing patient health needs both in the clinic and hospital, allowing for a dynamic and impactful work experience. Candidates will work together with a variety of health professionals to improve community health outcomes.

Key Responsibilities





- Deliver emergency and inpatient care effectively • Ensure long-term health management of patients • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team • Engage with visiting specialists to optimize patient care • Participate actively in community health initiatives Requirements:
- Valid licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of BC • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) mandatory • Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) preferred • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) preferred • Commitment to community-driven healthcare Impact health care on Cormorant Island as a physician dedicated to the Namgis First Nation.
