Drive change with NCCM as a Government Affairs and Public Policy Officer, advancing community mobilization and advocacy efforts in Vancouver, Alberta, or London/Windsor. This full time role focuses on building essential political relationships while organizing community initiatives. As a pivotal member of the team, the officer will be responsible for fostering connections with elected officials and coordinating advocacy efforts that resonate with community members.
A background of 2-5 years in advocacy, political organizing, or related fields is essential. Strong communication and organizational skills will be vital for success in this dynamic position. Key Responsibilities:
- Cultivate relationships with political leaders and community organizations
- Execute mobilization campaigns to advance NCCM's priorities
- Support the planning of advocacy initiatives at multiple government levels
- Facilitate collaboration among coalition partners and stakeholders
- Monitor and report on campaign progress and political developments Requirements:
- 2-5 years of experience in public policy or advocacy
- In-depth knowledge of Canadian governmental processes
- Proven skills in relationship-building and communication
- Highly organized with effective project management capabilities
