- Develop new features for Intel's open-source compiler stack
- Enable the latest language standards
- Collaborate upstream with members of the Clang open-source community
- Collaborate across the industry to deliver effective compiler solutions
- Build compilers or compiler components using the LLVM framework
- Contribute to Intel's LLVM-based C, C++, SYCL, and Fortran compilers
- Support compiler performance, scalability, and portability across Intel CPU and GPU platforms
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Informatics or a related technical discipline and 5+ years of experience OR Master's in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Informatics or related technical fields and 3+ years of experience
- Experience in C/C++, object-oriented programming, and data structures
- Hands-on compiler development experience
- Demonstrated history of technical contributions to open-source projects
- Demonstrated history of technical contributions to Clang (commit history, patches, reviews)
- Core LLVM expertise, including hands-on experience building compilers or compiler components using the LLVM framework
- Experience with optimization passes, code generation, or frontend integration
- Solid problem-solving and debugging skills
- Ability to proactively pursue solutions
- Intermediate-level C/C++ with deep understanding of language constructs
- oneAPI or similar vendor toolchain development is a preferred qualification
- Participation in standards committees (C, C++, Khronos, etc.) is a preferred qualification
- Must live and work in Canada
