Domtar, a leader in the pulp, paper, and wood products industry, is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel (Conseiller.ière juridique principale) specializing in business law. This permanent, full-time role supports the Wood Products Business Unit and the Paper Excellence group, providing legal guidance on commercial operations, contracts, and compliance.

Key Eligibility Criteria

- Degree from a recognized law faculty.
- Active member of the Barreau du Québec.




- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a law firm or corporate legal department.
- Bilingual proficiency (French and English) is mandatory.
- Knowledge of the forestry, natural resources, or international trade sectors is considered an asset.

Responsibilities & Scope of Work

- Draft, negotiate, and review procurement and sales agreements.
- Manage litigation files with the support of external counsel.
- Provide legal support for major group projects, including restructurings, plant projects, and M&A.;
- Advise on compliance and internal policies.
