Join Beaver Brae School's initiative to provide comprehensive mental health support to Anishinaabe students as their dedicated counselor. This role prioritizes culturally affirmative programs and student advocacy. As the Anishinaabe Student Mental Health Counselor, you will use your 3-5 years of counseling experience to help students thrive academically and emotionally.

Your key responsibilities involve delivering diverse counseling services and engaging with the Anishinaabe community to foster support and inclusivity. You will work closely with school staff to ensure policies reflect the needs of Anishinaabe students. Key Responsibilities:

- Deliver counseling services in guidance and social areas
- Collaborate with families and administrative staff




- Advocate for Anishinaabe students' needs within school systems
- Facilitate cultural events to restore community connections
- Monitor and report on student attendance and progress Requirements:
- Diploma or degree in Social Work or similar
- Minimum 3-5 years related experience
- Deep knowledge of Anishinaabe culture
- Solid verbal communication and organizational skills
- Valid driver's license and clean criminal record Provide essential support for Anishinaabe students, enhancing their educational experience through culturally responsive practices.
